About my work

Throughout my BA year at Nottingham College i’ve been exploring how I can combine fan art (art based on a pop culture source such as tv, movies or celebrities) and fine art after realising I am most passionate about fan art.

This project titled ‘Four ways to love you’ is a series of drawings of Korean pop idols: Cha Eunwoo, Hirai Momo and Min Yoongi. I used my love and admiration of them as the source, but evolved the fan art beyond its usual flat digital realm. Through combining traditional and digital processes in layers, I have created drawings that are a hybrid of both types of process and context.
